Ubiquitous Technology
Using technology in schools for its own sake will not get us far. But when it is seamlessly integrated into everyday life of teachers and students to help them perfect their craft, it has the potential to take us places.
Within every SLC, and in most activity spaces, there will be high-end computers and peripherals. More importantly, there will be high-speed broadband access through-out the school, and in outdoor areas, to assist in independent learning, anytime, anywhere.
Students will use technology to access information, for original research and to produce high-quality products, performances, and presentations. Teachers will use technology to enhance their classes, to aid in assessments and to extend student project work beyond the school day and the school building.
